“Hi guys, I have been in the UK for 12 years now and I still haven’t managed to get\u00a0citizenship<\/strong>. I have come to the end of my 6 years discretionary leave and to apply for my citizenship I have to pay\u00a0\u00a32,300<\/strong>. Right now because of the situation I am in I haven’t managed to save any money, I lost my job, I am in debt and I can’t even get a job right now to work and save. This is because with my visa expiring in a month, no one will hire me temporarily. I have only\u00a01 month left<\/strong>\u00a0to gather this money and I am\u00a0running out of time<\/strong>. The reason why I have left it so late is because I was trying\u00a0EVERYTHING<\/strong>\u00a0in power to sort it out, but I have come to the end of the road. I have 1 month before my application has to be in so realistically it would be best to reach my goal in\u00a03 weeks<\/strong>. I am really hoping we manage to reach it! I don’t know how I will thank everyone, but even \u00a31 from everyone would be something and I will appreciate it so much!”<\/div>\n

A Fashion blogger who grew up in Swindon is facing expulsion from the UK.<\/p>\n

In an emotional plea posted on her YouTube page, Zimbabwe-born Rutendo Tichiwangani asked her fans for help to cover her \u00a32,300 costs so she can claim UK citizenship.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old, who attended St Joseph\u2019s College after joining her refugee parents in Swindon aged 10, said: \u201cMy life is not what people see. I live a very, very difficult life and I feel like every single day is an emotional rollercoaster.\u201d<\/p>\n

Already in debt, she said that her six year period of discretionary leave would come to an end in just one month\u2019s time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t managed to save any money, I lost my job, I am in debt and I can\u2019t even get a job right now to work and save,\u201d she wrote on an online fundraising appeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith my visa expiring in a month, no one will hire me temporarily. I have only one month left to gather this money and I am running out of time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason why I have left it so late is because I was trying everything in my power to sort it out, but I have come to the end of the road.\u201d<\/p>\n

But after posting her fundraising appeal on Tuesday, the online celebrity has smashed her \u00a32,300 target.<\/p>\n

In just two days, Rutendo has raised almost \u00a34,000 \u2013 helped along by social media users who spotted the appeal when it began trending on Twitter with the #VisaBae hashtag.<\/p>\n

Thanking her followers she said: \u201cThis means the world to me. I\u2019ve been trying to go figure out how to stop donations and I\u2019m shuffling. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP DONATING!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
